Living with Homestay Family
Living away from parents and friends is sometimes quite challenging for many students who want to study abroad. Once students move overseas to study, they do not simply study, but they live there. Choosing the most suitable of accommodation is undoubtedly crucial for those who want to study overseas. One type of accommodation that students might bring into consideration is homestay. When students living in a homestay, it means they live with the other family in foreign country. Once they live in other’s family home, they become the part of the family. They have to go on with the family’s rule and adopt their lifestyle. In the homestay, most family will provide meals for students who live in their house. Some of them also do not mind to do the laundry and clean up the student’s room. On the other hand, living in the homestay is not always good. There are a lot of families out there who do not accomplish their responsibility as they supposed to be. For example, when they are not at home or come back late, it would be likely they will not provide dinner for the students. Some families are also made strict rules that must not be violated by the students. Some of the rules sometimes do not make any sense. For example, students are not allowed to have any kind of snack in their room. They are not allowed to put anything in the refrigerator or even make their own food as they are not allowed to use their kitchen. However, living in the homestay has its own positive and negative side.
